Georgia’s 2027 schedule: the three matchups to circle

The 2027 Georgia schedule gives our preseason discussion a set of actual dates. The matchups below are the three I would circle first: tests of roster depth and contender expectations, rather than a claim that preseason national rankings have already settled the league.

As of October 7, the school has released its complete 55-game regular-season schedule.

Our starting point is the preseason outlook. The recent standard earns attention. A new lineup and staff still have to earn the next season’s results.

Mar 25 – Mar 27 · vs. Mississippi State

Early home examination of how Georgia replaces lost production against a State lineup with Jacob Parker and promising young pitching. Less a revenge slogan than a test of bullpen depth.

Apr 2 – Apr 4 · at Oklahoma

Road weekend against the reigning national champion immediately follows State. The useful preseason question is whether Georgia’s new lineup travels and produces without depending on one decisive homer.

May 20 – May 22 · vs. Texas

Final home SEC series offers a late-season test against a program expected to remain in the serious contention conversation. Georgia should have settled its own identity by this point.
