The 2027 Missouri schedule gives our preseason discussion a set of actual dates. The matchups below are the three I would circle first: tests of roster depth and contender expectations, rather than a claim that preseason national rankings have already settled the league.
As of October 7, 30 regular-season games have been announced, including all 30 SEC games. The rest of the nonconference schedule is still pending; this is a preview of the released slate, not an invented complete schedule.
Our starting point is the preseason outlook. The new offensive pieces make the discussion more interesting. The pitching must keep that improvement relevant across a series.
Mar 19 – Mar 21 · at Mississippi State
The opening road series tests whether Missouri’s added offense can remain useful when its pitching is under SEC pressure. Mississippi State’s established standard makes this a much more revealing checkpoint than a comfortable February result.
Apr 23 – Apr 25 · vs. Oklahoma
The defending champion is the largest home benchmark. Our preseason outlook respects Oklahoma’s ceiling while keeping its new roster questions open; Missouri gets a direct test of whether its offensive improvement can sustain a whole weekend.
May 14 – May 16 · at South Carolina
This is a leverage series between programs trying to turn improvement into a repeatable identity. It matters to Missouri’s floor as much as the championship opponents matter to its ceiling; competitive projections should not erase a winnable late-season road assignment.
