The 2027 Oklahoma schedule gives our preseason discussion a set of actual dates. The matchups below are the three I would circle first: tests of roster depth and contender expectations, rather than a claim that preseason national rankings have already settled the league.
As of October 7, 36 regular-season games have been announced, including all 30 SEC games. The rest of the nonconference schedule is still pending; this is a preview of the released slate, not an invented complete schedule.
Our starting point is the preseason outlook. The championship deserves respect. The next roster deserves a fresh examination instead of an automatic prediction.
Apr 2 – Apr 4 · vs. Georgia
A marquee test against a program whose recent standard demands respect. For Oklahoma’s reworked roster, this is a useful early measure of whether the offense has multiple ways to score and the pitching has enough depth for three games.
May 7 – May 9 · vs. Texas
The rivalry supplies emotion, but our preseason interest is the dependable foundation Texas brings. Supporting production and weekend pitching reliability are questions for both contenders; the home setting makes this a particularly consequential series for Oklahoma.
May 14 – May 16 · at Ole Miss
The last road series is a demanding late-season examination of the bullpen. Ole Miss has intriguing offensive additions, and our outlook’s unresolved innings question creates an attractive strength-versus-question matchup without pretending October roles are settled.
The SEC schedule
